Small & medium businesses

Stop paying for IT only when it goes wrong.

Most small businesses start with someone they call when something breaks. It works until it does not. Managed IT costs a predictable amount and is designed to make the call unnecessary in the first place.

  • Predictable monthly cost
  • Problems caught early
  • People who know your setup

What is included

Everything a small business needs, without an IT department

A managed service bundles the things that are easy to neglect when nobody owns them — and neglect is what turns a small IT problem into an expensive one.

Unlimited helpdesk

Support by phone, email or portal without watching a clock, so people actually report problems early.

Monitoring

Devices and systems watched around the clock, so failing hardware and stalled updates are caught before they stop work.

Patch management

Operating systems and applications kept current automatically — the cheapest security control there is.

Endpoint security

Protection on every device with alerts that reach a person rather than a dashboard nobody opens.

Microsoft 365

Licensing, configuration, security and day-to-day administration of your tenant.

Backup

Protected copies of mail, files and devices, with restores tested rather than assumed.

Starters and leavers

New people set up consistently, leavers removed completely, without it being anyone's side job.

Hardware

Advice, supply and setup of business equipment, with a replacement plan so it is never a surprise.

Supplier management

We deal with your internet provider, software vendors and equipment suppliers so you do not have to.

Documentation

A written record of how your IT is set up, which is yours — and which makes every future change quicker.

A client portal

Tickets, services, quotes and invoices in one place, so you can see what you are paying for.

Advice

Someone to ask before you buy something, and someone who will tell you when you do not need it.

Break/fix vs managed

One model bills you for bad days. The other tries to prevent them.

Break/fix is not dishonest — it is simply a model whose incentives point the wrong way. You pay when something fails, so prevention is nobody's job, and the biggest bills land in the worst months. Managed IT reverses that: we carry the cost of things going wrong, so we work to stop them.

  • A fixed monthly cost, so IT can be budgeted like any other overhead
  • Prevention is in our interest, because unplanned work is our cost
  • Problems are found by monitoring rather than reported by frustrated staff
  • Security, patching and backup are included rather than quoted for later
  • Your setup is documented, so support is not a rediscovery every time
  • You get advice on what is coming, not only help with what just broke

The challenge

Managed IT without an IT department

Small teams need the same reliability and security as larger ones, without the overhead of running IT themselves.

IT handled by whoever knows the most about computers

A named support team and one number to call, so your people get back to work.

Devices bought ad hoc and set up differently

A standard build for every laptop, enrolled, patched and protected.

Backups nobody has checked in months

Monitored backups with restores tested on a schedule.

IT spending that is hard to predict

A fixed monthly service and a simple plan for future purchases.

How we work

Straightforward to start.

  1. A conversation

What you have, what frustrates you, and how many people. Half an hour, no charge, no obligation.

  2. A look around

We review your devices, accounts, security and backups, and tell you honestly what we find.

  3. A clear proposal

What is included, what it costs per month, and anything that needs fixing before we take it on.

  4. Onboarding

Monitoring deployed, backlog cleared, your team shown how to reach us. Usually a couple of weeks.

Questions

Small business IT questions

We only have eight people. Are we too small?

No. Eight people with laptops, Microsoft 365 and customer data have most of the same requirements as eighty — just fewer of each. What changes at a small size is the shape of the service rather than whether it is worth having: less on-site attendance, more remote support, and a focus on the controls that prevent expensive incidents.

What does it cost?

Managed IT is normally priced per user or per device each month, so it scales with your headcount and can be budgeted. We will not publish a figure here that would not survive contact with your actual setup — the number depends on what you run, how many sites you have, and what condition things are in. A short conversation is enough for us to give you a real one.

We already have someone who helps with IT. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and it is common. Sometimes we take over completely; sometimes we handle infrastructure, security and the helpdesk while an internal person looks after business applications they know far better than we would. Either works provided the split is agreed and written down.

Do we have to change everything?

No. We start by finding out what you have and what is genuinely causing problems. Things that work stay. What normally has to change early is anything that is a real risk — no MFA, untested backups, devices well out of support — and we will explain why rather than simply presenting an invoice.

What if we only need help occasionally?

Then be honest with yourself about what you are choosing. Occasional support is a legitimate choice for a very small or very simple business, but it means nobody is monitoring, patching or testing your backups between calls — and those are the things that prevent the expensive days. We would rather tell you that plainly than sell you a plan you do not want.

How quickly do you respond?

Issues are triaged by priority, with the most urgent — something stopping the business — handled first. Systems are monitored 24/7, the helpdesk is staffed during business hours, and out-of-hours cover for critical incidents is available depending on your service level. Our Service Standards page sets out how triage and escalation work.
