Case studies

Client work, published only when the client has said yes.

Case studies are only worth reading if they are true. Everything here is approved by the client it describes, including the figures.

  • Client-approved
  • Real figures only
  • Anonymised where preferred

Nothing here yet

An empty page, and why

We have not published any case studies yet. Not because there is no work to write about, but because publishing a client's environment, figures or words needs their explicit approval — and we would rather this page stayed empty than fill it with invented examples. Several are in preparation.
Ask us for a reference instead If you are evaluating us, a conversation with a client in a similar position is worth more than a page of ours anyway. Ask, and we will see who is willing — a reference from a business genuinely like yours, not simply whoever agreed first.
Or judge the work directly The IT Health Check gives you an assessment of your own environment in about five minutes, and a sense of how we think. That is a more useful test of a provider than reading about somebody else.

Our rule

No invented clients, no invented numbers.

A great many case studies in this industry are composites, or real projects with the results rounded generously upwards. We would rather publish fewer and have each one survive a phone call to the client named in it. Where a client is happy for the work to be described but not to be identified, we anonymise by size and sector — that is a normal request and a reasonable one.

  • Approved in writingby the client, before publishing
  • Figures confirmedor left out entirely
  • Anonymised on requestby size and sector

Questions

Questions about evaluating us

Why are there no case studies on this page?

Because we will not publish one until the client in it has read and approved it. Getting that approval takes time, and some clients — particularly professional firms and anyone in a competitive sector — would rather not be named at all. Several studies are in preparation. In the meantime we would rather show you an empty page than a page of examples we made up.

Can we speak to one of your clients?

Ask us. It depends on a client agreeing, and on finding one whose situation genuinely resembles yours — a reference from a very different business tells you very little. We would rather arrange a relevant conversation than offer a name for the sake of having one.

How else can we judge you before committing?

Run the IT Health Check and see whether the questions and recommendations are sharper than you expected. Read the Service Standards page and see whether we are specific about how support works. Ask us a hard technical question about your own environment in the first conversation. Those tell you more about a provider than a case study does.

We are a client. Would you write one about us?

We would be glad to, and you would see and approve every word before it went anywhere. It can be fully named or anonymised by sector and size, whichever suits you — and if you would rather not, that is entirely fine and changes nothing about the service.

Ready to get started?

Ask us about work like yours.

Tell us what you are trying to solve and we will tell you what we have done that resembles it — in detail, in a conversation, where we can be specific.
